Company Call Restrictions
What are Call Restrictions?
Call Restrictions are a set of rules to prohibit users from making certain types of calls. Company call restrictions apply to all its users. Each call restriction has a name and applies to telephone numbers with a specific dialing format. As the Company Administrator, you can add call restrictions for each user or the whole company.
Click on Call Restrictions to view the list of call restrictions of the your company. This is the page where you can add, remove and modify some call restrictions.
Adding New Company Call Restrictions
Click the Add New Restriction button. Define the New Restriction as follows:
1) Name of Restriction: Enter a descriptive name for the new call restriction.
2) Applies when dialing phone numbers with the following format:
Enter the phone number. Use "?" as a wild card to represent any digit.

- Select the Default Status of the restriction:
- Choose Enabled if you want to prohibit this type of calls for all your Users by default. You can later selectively disable this restriction for some Users to authorize them to make this type of calls.
- Choose Disabled if you want to authorize all your Users to make this type of calls by default. You can later selectively enable this restriction to block some Users from making this type of calls. Go to Setting call restrictions for specific users for more.
- Click Submit to add the new call restriction.
Important note: Make sure that the number of wild cards ? corresponds to the number of digits in the type of phone numbers to control.
Example:
- 514??????? applies to all local calls in the area code 514
- 01133????????? applies to all international calls made from Canada to France
- 001415??????? applies to all international calls made from France to San Francisco, California
Modifying Company Call Restrictions
You can modify any call restriction by clicking on its name, phone number or Rule icon. Make changes as needed, then click Submit to save. Any changes will be effective immediately.
Removing Company Call Restrictions
You can remove any call restriction by clicking its Remove
icon. Note that you cannot remove any restriction imposed by the VAR Admin or System Admin.

How Do I Modify an Existing Company Call Restriction?
From the Call Restrictions
page, click on the name of the call restriction that you want to modify. Make the desired changes by overwriting the existing parameters. You can only modify the call restrictions that you created. Go to Modifying Call Restrictions for more.

How Do I Remove a Company Call Restriction?
From the Call Restrictions
page, click on the Remove link corresponding to the call restriction that you want to delete. You can only delete the call restrictions that you created. Go to Removing Call Restrictions for more.
